Leaving at about 9:00 am.
Returning late afternoon on the 20th
This trip is considered
an optional part of the summer running program, but highly recommended. Not going does not effect your position on the team.
We
ask that those going make a contribution of $200 (which includes the normal summer contribution of $60) to help offset
costs of this great event. Part of your donation can be non-parishable food items. Ask Coach Bailey or Coach Carlos for
ideas if you wish to go that route. Fundraisers are also planned to help defray cost. If money is tight, please let us
know. We will work with you. If we do not raise enough money, we will cancel the trip.
ALL athletes are expected
to participate in any fundraising done for the trip. Athletes are also expected to not miss workouts in order to go.
Field
Trip form are now avaliable from Coach Bailey Form must be returned to secure your spot. We have room for 10 boys and
10 girls.
Parents are invited to come up as well. You can stay with us if there is room or arrange their own accomodations.
We would need enough transportation to get 20 kids there and 20 back as well as transportation during the week. It may be the
case that you can only stay for half (either first half or second half). Let coach know as soon as possible so we are not scrambling
for cars at the last minutes.
The goals of the trip are as follows:
1. To engage in high-altitude training.
2. To promote
team unity and spirit.
3. To have fun.
Even if you are not coming, if you have some items that would be useful for us to
borrow for the event, please tell us. (coolers, extra sleeping bag, etc.)
